Comments: Have been reading daily about flooding; can't beleave what I am seeing. Glad water is receeding. I too have to contend with water in the spring. Only a little this year. Only 2 more months till we go to Eagle Lake for vacation, I can't wait. Hope to have a large group this year. Don't know for sure as it is hard to get a commitment. 11 from my side of family are going; I wish we were going tomarrow. Not to many posts here so I thought I would get people started. Best wishes Les

Comments: I just happened on here because I havent been for awhile and in the last few entries I keep seeing everyone talking about my mother Rella Fournier.... Im her daughter Sandra and I live in Southington, CT. My mom talked alot about her fun times up there and going to the Silver Slipper and especially her friends. I would love to have you share stories about my mom with me since she passed away. I will probably come up again this summer for a short stay (try and do so every year)... so if anyone would like to meet me and share those stories with me,,,I would love it.. I will come back and give the date I will be up there...

Comments: My family is from Eagle Lake, and I've been here three times in the last 7 or 8 years, and it is beautiful. I stay with my grandparents on the street on the lake shore that is named after us, Dubois Lane and love fishing and boating when im there. Eagle Lake is a beautiful town, and it is the ideal spot for a summer home for me and i love it!

Comments: I'm writing this in regards to Sherline Saucier who was born in Eagle Lake ; You talk about dancing at the silver slipper, and I just wanted you to know that my father ( Arthur Parent ) owned the silver slipper. I live in Eagle Lake and know alot of people that lived in Eagle Lake ; that have moved out, back in the 50's and 60's and 70's. I'm 59 years old,and I own a bottle redemption center, and I also work as a Cementry Keeper for St Mary's Parish in E.L. You new Rella Founier, and maybe you new my sister Lucienne Parent; they called her( Tei Saua) she use to chum around with Rella, anyway I hope you remember,as I'm sure you will. Bye

Comments: Hi, My grandfather was Vital L'Abbe, the superintendant of schools in 1916. My Dad, Cyr L'Abbe really loved Eagle Lake and was sad to move to Providence after his Dad passed away. I'm bringing my husband and son up this summer for a visit, can't wait!

Comments: I had a great uncle, Willis Martin Cummins that owned and operated a dry goods store in Eagle Lake in the 1920's. He was originally from Attala County, MS, and born to the parents of Isaac Marion Cummins and Nancy Matilda Guess November 10, 1870.
I have a letter that he wrote my granddad in 1927 indicating business was slow that day due to rain.
Just wondering if anyone out there that may have further info on his place of business.
This is a great site, a lot of time and thoughtful effort are exhibited.......

Comments: Hi folks: Would like brochures of places to stay in Eagle Lake that have nice log cabins to stay. Maybe the Chamber of Commerce might have some to mail me. Karen Gautreau, 12 Ash St. Baldwinville MA. 01436. The lake looks beautiful. Thanks anyone who might help.
