Comments: Hi everyone! My sister, Pat (Bouchard) Bushnell, said I must bring up this website, and I do agree, it is wonderful. Reading other guest's comments, has brought back many wonderful memories of Eagle Lake. My Mother, Rhona Laferriere (Bouchard), was brought up there by my incredible grandparents, Landor and Edith Laferriere. I send much love to all my relatives there, and wish I could visit more often.
I remember my brother, Jim (Butch is his nickname), got bit by a squirrel and Dr. Kirk took care of him. I remember picking wild strawberries for my Mom, and our family would enjoy wild strawberry shortcake! My Aunt Norma made homemade bread every day...I have never tasted bread like that since. My sister Pat, fished every single day off the Escovich's dock. And yes, I remember getting a few blook s***ers on my legs...but Mom was always there to put some salt on it, and it would just curl off. So many wonderful growing up memories that fill my heart with pride and love. What more is there to life! God Bless everyone in Eagle Lake, Maine, and I hope to visit again soon.

Comments: Soooo happy I found this web-site. My mother was born in Eagle Lake in 1922...Rhona Laferriere, daughter of Edith and Landor Laferriere. My uncle Norman owned the barbershop in town. What fun we had every summer. Her siblings were Aunt Mildred, Madeline, Bernice, Maxine, Patsy, Gilman, Noman, Uncle Minn, Gilbert, and Uncle Tu.
Four years ago my mom passed away and is now in the cemetery in Eagle Lake. Lucien, please say hello to her when you're out grooming the grass. She is up on the hill overlooking the lake. Wish you knew her, she was a wonderful woman. Thanks

Comments: I am the 3rd eldest daughter of Ludger and Guyualla Parent of Eagle Lake. Last time I was there was September 2006 at my brothers, Richard's, funeral.
I had alot of relatives there at one time......anyne with the name Parent is related, as well as Plourde's, Pelletier and Deschene's.
My remaining siblings are Priscilla, Patricia, Edith, Alden, Tony, Rita and Rose. I had another brother named Randall who died only a couple months old.
Raoul, Arthur, Conrad Parent are/were brothers of my father Ludger. Imelda Plourde is/was my father's sister. My uncle Leo and dad were twins.
My mother was the daughter of Willie and Esther Deschene. I never had the pleasure of knowing my mother's parents. They died when she was still a teenager.
I would love to hear from anyone who is related to us or remembers my family.
